In partnership with various stakeholders, efforts by German development cooperation are directed towards water-wise solutions spanning over 50 countries worldwide. This campaign website operates as a valuable information hub for the international water community.  

The focus areas for impact include:

• Food security: Transforming food systems from farm to fork by applying the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus approach
• Resilient sanitation systems: Addressing the lack of secure sanitation systems for half of the world’s population and promoting gender equality
• Protecting freshwater ecosystems: Placing water at the heart of climate action advocating for nature-based solutions to preserve freshwater ecosystems
• Innovative finance mechanisms: Implementing innovative finance mechanisms to strengthen private water operators and enhance water security
